Review: Rouge Absolue

I said I would review two perfumes as one of my last posts on Instagram and so here we are! I needed a new perfume for nights out and another for work.

I chose Rouge Absolue from Next for my 'night out' perfume from next because it was so cost effective. 100ml for £12?! You can't go wrong, or can you?..

One of my main concerns about cheap perfumes in the lasting power of them, but Rouge Absolue has stood the test of time on a night out.

I like a musky smell for a night out and my go-to perfumes are usually Paco Rabanne Black XS or Mugler Alien perfumes. One of the things that drew me to the Rouge Absolue was the scent, it is a blend of Amber, white flowers (not even sure what that's meant to mean...white flowers doesn't really tell you anything right?!) and red berries. It is such a wonderful scent!

I've also seen people comparing it as a dupe to Armani Si, but I haven't tried that perfume before so if anyone out there has - please let me know in the comments if you find this to be a dupe.

Another thing that I loved about this perfume was the packaging. This bottle is just beautiful! I love the tassel on the packaging - it's just so feminine and a little bit naughty *insert giggle here*.

Overall I'm really happy with this perfume as alternative for my other perfumes, but I'm not sure it would replace my love of Black XS that I've been wearing for years.

Overall Rating:

Have you tried any Next perfumes? Let me know in the comments below!
