Review: The £1.50 Lipstick I Can't Live Without!

A few weeks ago I went on a bit of a budget beauty buying spree. I did a bit of a round-up to showcase the products for you, however that day was literally the first time I’d tried any of those products and was a ‘first impressions’ post.

Now, as I’ve said time and time again, I love anything that’s purse-friendly and I don’t always buy cheap. But if I find a good beauty buy that’s going to save you all some cash then I figure I should share it with you.
Enter the Matte Long Last Lipstick collection from PS at Primark. In this particular post I’m going to talk about the shade I’m obsessing over – ‘Serenity’. But I believe there are 3 more colours to choose from (possibly more).
The packaging itself is very nice, I like the gold casing with the clear plastic at the bottom to show the colour. It looks a lot more expensive than the £1.50 that I paid. The most noticeable thing about this product is the scent. I wasn’t expecting any scent at all, it has a ‘holiday’ smell to it. I wouldn’t say that it’s coconut, but definatley something along those lines… BUT it doesn’t actually taste of anything!
The lipstick is smooth and creamy on application. I wore this a few times on holiday and it has quickly became a favourite make-up item. I’ve often found that lipsticks start melting when I’ve been in a hot country. (It’s not the first time I’ve stored them in the fridge), but this one was unaffected by the temperature. Best of all, it stays creamy and smooth once applied. It certainly lasted for around 3 hours before I needed to reapply in the evening too.
These lipsticks are £1.50 in store which I think is a pretty amazing price for the quality you receive. I’ll definatley be repurchasing in the future!
