Book Review: #GIRLBOSS

So today, I bring you my review of #GIRLBOSS. I know I said you probably wouldn’t see many book reviews on here when I reviewed The Bone Clocks. But I recently purchased a number of books (which hopefully you’ll all have seen on my Instagram). Mainly to help with my blogging, but I did get a few just because I like a good read.
One of those books was #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso. Which is a book that I’ve seen all over the web and which has had a lot of hype around it. So I was hoping it wasn’t overrated…
…And I didn’t feel it was!

As someone who has never known what they would like to pursue career-wise (or in life for that matter). I quite often related to Sophia throughout the book and began to feel less alone. In #GIRLBOSS you get to follow Sophia’s journey right from early life to the success that she is today. I really loved the images and snapshots from other business women throughout the book.
The only few parts that didn’t seem to follow for me were the last few chapters which are more ‘advice’ on your CV etc. but it didn’t ruin the overall feel of the book.
However if you’re looking for a book which is more of an autobiography style story then this could be for you – there were many parts I laughed out loud at (particularly something on the second page) and the style of writing is incredibly witty.
Who would have thought that someone who started selling a little vintage on eBay could have come so far?! It just shows what you can do when you put in the hard work and for those of us that don’t have a clue what we’re going to do when we ‘grow up’ – there’s hope!
Have you read #GIRLBOSS? What did you think?
