Kitchen Update

Ugh, that horrible kitchen. If you missed it in my home tour then check out the post now. You'll get the chance to see the horrible kitchen I keep ranting about!

A kitchen needing some serious TLC! So I figured I could sort something out to try and take it from drab to fab! Anyway, if you'll remember from my old blog, I had a go at restoring an old table and chairs (turned out great by the way...they'll be making an appearance soon). I got the idea from doing that project that I could paint the cabinets in the kitchen rather than replacing them completely. I am on a budget after all!

Just a quick one today. How beautiful is this little storage box! It was only £2.99 from ALDI, an absolute bargain.

I think I'll be using mine to store jewellery in my room as I'm having a bit of a storage problem at the moment, but so pleased I spotted this when I was out shopping last week...GO, GO, GO!

10 Things I Love About Living Alone

It's been a busy week here – lots of friends over to the house. Many meals cooked, many walks for Bailey and lots of doggy cuddles. It's really made me appreciate the good things and made me think about why I moved in the first place and what I really appreciate about living alone.

Review: Playing Dead by Julia Heaberlin

So, I may have mentioned I've had lots of new ideas during my hiatus on the blog. Again, sorry for not being around. Really, I've had lots to write about, but just no time to write and I guess a lack of motivation to write. I have however read a lot of things, done a lot of things and bought a lot of things recently so I have tons of things to share and Playing Dead by Julia Heaberlin is one of those things.

First Look; My New Home

Oh-er it's been a while hasn't it?! Sorry about that, but I know some of you have been keeping up with my Insta feed and have seen some of the changes to my lifestyle I've been making (if you ignore the abundance of cocktails recently).

Things seem to be moving in the right direction for me now, but I'll talk about that in another post. Today, I wanted to share with you all my new home!

I got really lucky when I found my house. I saw a few other houses in the area I was looking to move to before I found this one and this was purely by chance... Lets just say trying to haggle on price with the estate agents over a much smaller house across the road really worked out for me. In the end I have a much bigger house, a much bigger garden... and probably a lot more to do. But, I'll get there and this place certainly feels like home.

I moved in back in June so things have come on quite a lot since these pictures were taken, but I figured this was my opportunity to document how much things can change. I'm going to apologise now for the quality - no editing of these photos!
